We have an agreement with Hotel Las Rocas, which is also one of the conference venues. Participants must mention that they will participate in the ETM8 symposium to avail of the special rates.

Travel information

The nearest airport to Castro Urdiales is Bilbao airport, located 45 km away. The conference organization will arrange taxis directly from Bilbao Airport to Castro Urdiales. For more information or to book a taxi, please contact the organizing committee.

Additionally, you can travel from Bilbao airport to Castro Urdiales by bus or taxi. Buses depart regularly from Bilbao Termibus to Castro Urdiales, with a journey time of approximately 50 minutes. The bus schedule is available here.

For those traveling by bus from other cities, ALSA offers direct services to Castro Urdiales from northern Spanish cities including Oviedo, Santander, San Sebastian, Vitoria, Pamplona, Zaragoza, and the French border at Irun-Hendaye. If traveling by train, Bilbao can be reached from Madrid in about 5 hours, from Zaragoza in 4 hours, and from Barcelona in 7 hours, with services provided by the national railway company RENFE.
